Meeting Schedule

Please join us in welcoming Randy Mabry for our October gathering.

Born June 29, 1954, in Albemarle, North Carolina, and raised in Stanly County, Randy Mabry has spent most of his life serving through music and ministry. After earning an AA from Spartanburg Methodist College and a BA in Biology from UNC Charlotte, he toured with gospel groups including the Gospel Lights and the Revelaires from 1972 to 1980, all while playing piano and teaching Sunday school, a calling he began at 16, a year before he was ordained a deacon. He went on to a 26-year career with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 2006 as Postmaster of New London, NC. A Gideon from 2001 to 2025, Randy began jail ministry in 2006, joined the Community Resource Council at Albemarle Correctional Institution in 2015, and became a licensed minister in 2024 and an ordained elder in 2025. What started as playing keyboard for the Albemarle choir has grown into seven visits a week across four prisons, including Anson Correctional’s women’s facility, where he plays, preaches, and teaches Jumpstart, a Christian program based on The Purpose Driven Life. A member of the Corner Church of the Lord Jesus Christ for 40 years, Randy lives by a simple prayer: “Lord, send me. I’ll go!”
